Who is responsible for my guarantee or warranty?
As the retailer of your product, Mattress Online is responsible for handling your guarantee or warranty. We will contact the manufacturer of your product on your behalf to start the claim process, should you wish to.
Who is responsible for product issues or faults?
If you purchased your product from Mattress Online, then we as the retailer are responsible for resolving any product issues or faults on your behalf, within the terms and conditions of your guarantee or warranty.
If you get in touch with us to arrange a claim, we will manage this with the manufacturer on your behalf.
What happens if the manufacturer of my product is no longer trading, or the product is discontinued?
Not to worry! As long as you have proof of your purchase from Mattress Online, our Customer Service team will work with you to manage your claim and resolve this for you.
How do I report an issue?
In the unlikely event of a product fault or issue, we recommend that you get in touch with our Mattress Online team to start your claim process.
While some manufacturers accept direct reports of issues, most prefer you contact the retailer that you purchased the product from - in this case, Mattress Online.
To start a guarantee or warranty claim with Mattress Online:
- Contact our Mattress Online team. Please have your proof of purchase or order number ready, as we require this to begin processing your claim.
- We’ll ask you some questions and request images of the fault. Here’s how to take the best pictures to demonstrate the product issue:
- Mattresses
- Remove any bedding and sheets from the mattress.
- Take a clear photo of the mattress fault - make sure the entire mattress is visible.
- If there's a dip in the mattress, use a straight object to highlight it.
- Take a photo of the bed frame or divan base without the mattress.
- Beds
- Remove the mattress, bedding, and sheets from the bed.
- Take a clear photo of the bed fault - make sure the entire bed is visible.
- Bedding
- Remove any bedding or sheets from the item.
- Take a clear photo of the bed fault - make sure the entire bed is visible.
- Mattresses
- After you have sent over the images, we will pass the report on to the manufacturer to assess whether it meets their warranty or guarantee terms and conditions.
What happens after I report an issue?
Once we have passed the information over to the manufacturer, we’ll keep you informed on the status of your claim.
Sometimes the manufacturer may arrange for a third party to investigate the product fault. If this happens, we’ll reach out to you to explain how this process works and what you can expect.
If the manufacturer determines that the product is faulty:
- We’ll notify you of their decision and work together with you and the manufacturer to find a resolution, as per the product terms and conditions.
If the manufacturer determines that the product is not at fault:
- We’lll inform you of their decision and close your claim.
If you choose to report the issue to the manufacturer directly, they will handle the process and inform you of the status of your claim and final decision of your claim.
