Living in the UK means that we experience chilly nights on a regular basis. So, most of us probably own an all-year round 10.5 tog duvet. These slightly thicker duvets are great for snuggling during colder months, but can retain too much body heat in the summer.
But not everyone likes sleeping without a duvet in the summer. That’s why 4.5 tog summer duvets (also known as summer quilts) are the ideal solution. These lighter duvets are much thinner and provide the perfect amount of comfort while keeping you cool all night long.
Separate duvets
If you and your partner can’t decide on the perfect tog duvet, consider sleeping with separate duvets. This way, you can both enjoy a sleep experience tailored to your preferences without fighting over the covers!
If you do decide to go with separate duvets, we’d recommend sizing down from your current bed and mattress size. For example, if you have a superking or king size mattress, we’d recommend using two double or small double duvets. If you have a double mattress, we’d recommend using two single duvets.

Thread count
